Writer: Einar ThorénEinar Thorén

We are pleased to announce that Exert Certification has signed an agreement with TESV ATEX & IECEx Production in Vietnam as a new assessment centre for IECEx Certification of Personnel Competence (CoPC). TESV is a continuation of former Trainor Electrical Safety Vietnam and since 2016 they have been delivering Ex training and technical consulting to the Vietnamese market, as well as they have been conducting IECEx personnel certification on behalf of former Trainor Certification.

"TESV has built a reputation as the leading Ex-experts in Vietnam and we are really excited to welcome them back as a trusted partner for IECEx certifications. TESV has gained in depth experience in conducting IECEx CoPC assessments in Vietnam, and they already have an impressing market penetration for all their services. Working closely with the highly competent local crew since the start in 2016 makes me convinced that we together will succeed in developing and expanding the IECEx footprint in Vietnam in the years to come", says CEO and founder of Exert Certification, Einar Thorén.

“The friendly and professional approach of TESV is a key to our mutual success in the rapidly evolving market in Vietnam." Thorén continues.

Managing Director in TESV, Ninh The Ninh, says; “TESV aim to strengthen our position as the leading provider in Vietnam of Ex training, consulting and IECEx certifications, and we feel that Exert Certification is the perfect partner to help us achieve this goal. Improving the safety in hazardous areas gives meaning to our daily work, and the way to achieve this is by increasing the competence and awareness of the personnel working in or near hazardous areas containing explosive atmospheres. IECEx CoPC is an international scheme documenting the personnel Ex-competency globally and TESV is the only center in Vietnam providing this assessment."

We welcome TESV to the extended Exert family!

EX 011 – BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE SAFETY OF HYDROGENE SYSTEMS

Exert Certification, approved CB for IECEx Certificate of Personnel Competence (CoPC) scheme, has issued the first IECEx Ex 011 (Hydrogen systems) Certificates in the World, both in Korea and Norway.

We are very pleased to announce that Exert Certification was approved by IECEx for the scope extension of Ex 011 in May 2023, and now we have issued the 4 first certificates in the World for this scheme. We believe that the Hydrogen industry will grow significantly in the years to come and with this growth comes the need for documenting competence within this field.

“We are very proud to be the first IECEx Certifying Body (CB) to issue competence certificates for Hydrogen Systems within the IECEx CoPC scheme and this is yet another important milestone for Exert.” says CEO and founder of Exert Certification, Einar Thorén.

"We experience a huge interest for Ex 011 from candidates who wants to expand their certificate with Hydrogen Safety, and we allready have several candidates in the pipeline for this scope.” Thorén continues.

HYDROGEN – A CLEAN SOURCE OF ENERGY?

Will hydrogen be part of the energy mix in the future? Many experts tend to agree that it could be an asset in the decarbonization of global energy systems, and potentially play a key role in providing electricity, heat, transportation and energy storage solutions.

HYDROGEN SAFETY

Hydrogen safety is the field that deals with the safe production, handling and use of hydrogen, especially as a fuel or coolant. Hydrogen is highly flammable and can ignite or explode in a wide range of concentrations with air. It can also cause metal embrittlement and leak easily due to its low density and small molecule size. Therefore, hydrogen safety requires special procedures and equipment to prevent accidents and ensure proper operation.

Competence on hydrogen safety is the ability to perform tasks involving hydrogen in a safe and reliable manner. It is important because hydrogen poses unique challenges and risks due to its flammability, explosiveness, leakage, and embrittlement effects. Competence on hydrogen safety can prevent accidents, injuries, and damages that could result from improper handling or use of hydrogen.
